While you may not have heard of Steven M Neil, chances are he's impacted your life in one way or another. If you're big on snack foods, you've definitely eaten something his company, Diamond Foods has produced. That's mostly due to him advancing the brand much further throughout the time that Steven Neil - YouTube spent as CEO.

Having only taken over in 2008, he hasn't had a whole lot of time to make his mark. But in that short time, he's taken great strides to help the company going forward. Through his help, they've really accomplished a lot as well.

Emerald Nuts had produced healthy nut options for some time. But through his guidance, they were able to move to the more popular hundred calorie packs. Thereby making it much easier to find healthy snacking options.

A big part of his success at Diamond are the new brands that Steven Neil business helped them acquire though. There are several food companies he's responsible for acquiring, leading to an even larger hold on the snack market than before.

Utilizing his leadership, they were able to make the jump into popcorn, by purchasing Pop Secret. This allowed them to tap into a market that they hadn't been able to before. Affording them the chance to reach more people.

Of course that led them to another successful purchase. Not to mention another new snack market to tap into. With the acquisition of Kettle Chips, Diamond moved into potato chip manufacturing, which is one of the most common and popular snacks in the western world.

That led to another attempt, that would ultimately fall unsuccessful. They attempted to buy Pringles, but in the end the deal didn't go through. Through it is a testament to what Steven Neil has accomplished, that it was a realistic venture.

After all is said and done, you can measure Neil's legacy on what he helped Diamond accomplish. They've got a larger share of the snack market than ever before. But more importantly, they're set up to acquire even better opportunities in the future.
