Choosing Body Wraps That Work

By Ginger Taylor

Have you ever wished you could lose inches, enrich your skin and detoxify your body without spending an arm and a leg at an extravagant spa? If this sounds good to you then you have to try a do it yourself body wrap!

During the last five years I have found out that body wrapping at home can be equally as successful as spa wraps if you have any of the following goals:

a. Tightening saggy skin

b. Minimizing cellulite

c. Getting Slimmer

d. Body cleansing

The secret to seeing outstanding results is using the right methods in combination with the best ingredients.

I will be the first to concede that there is a bit of a learning curve in relation to carrying out do it yourself body wraps. Five years ago I wasn't really sure what I was doing, so it was an interesting experience to say the least!

The simple truth is five years ago body wrapping at home was a somewhat new concept and there was hardly any body wrap information or pre-made slimming wrap kits out there, so I had to experiment with various recipes and techniques to find what genuinely worked.

What I Have Come to Understand About Wrapping At Home

I learned quite a bit of things while conducting experiments over the years. Here are a handful of the most crucial things that I've learned by way of personal experience:

1. Select Ingredients Carefully - Not only is it really important that you use high quality organic ingredients in your wrap, but using the accurate mixture of ingredients for your goals is a key to success. You could quite possibly have found some non specific body wrap formulas, but what you have to realize is that your particular goals require certain ingredients to be able to work properly.

2. Be Cautious Of Low-budget Body Wrap Kits - If you read through the ingredients in some of the most popular pre-packaged body wrap kits (like the Hollywood Detox Body Wrap), you will notice that the majority of the ingredients are fabricated - not the sort of elements you want to be using on your skin! There are ready made body wrap kits such as the It Works Ultimate Body Applicator that are an exception because as the name denotes, they really work! These are my personal favorite because they are easy to use with no mess or hassle.

3. Take the time to Exfoliate! - It's fundamental that you open the skin pores before carrying out your home body wrap. This assures that the formula you apply to your skin during wrapping is absorbed down to the deepest layer of the skin. I always brush my skin, and spray my body with a unique toning spray to ensure I get the most out of each wrapping session.

4. Exercise & Eat Well - In order to get the most out of your home wraps, a healthy lifestyle is a necessity. Your body has got to be working aptly from the inside, and your circulatory system must be in top form. Eating a sensible diet, exercising consistently and performing two weekly slimming wraps is a fabulous combination that will help you lose weight and feel great. Drinks lots of water too.

5. Be Dedicated - Like the majority of things in life, to be able to reach results you need to be consistent. Even if you are satisfied with the results you get after your first home wrap, don't stop there! You can magnify your results by doing at least one or two wraps weekly.

I hope these guidelines are helpful to you, and wish you the best of luck with your first home wrap! I am positive that if you follow the steps I've explained, you will get great results as if you went to a fancy spa.
